Hybrids combine a conventional petrol engine with an electric motor that serves multiple functions.
Full Hybrid technology
Composition
1 combustion engine
Clutchless multimode automatic gearbox
1 self-charging 280V traction battery
Charging the battery
No need to plug in, the battery charges itself as you drive using the energy recovered during braking and deceleration.
The electric motor allows 100% electric driving, and provides a power boost to the internal combustion engine the rest of the time. It also converts the recovered energy into electricity to charge the traction battery.
The multi-mode gearbox automatically switches between 3 driving modes:
Instant acceleration in EV mode
Mild-hybrid technology
Composition
1 combustion engine
1 starter-alternator
1 self-charging 48V battery for on-the-road use
Charging the battery
No need to plug in, the battery charges itself as you drive using the energy recovered during braking and deceleration.
The internal combustion engine gets extra torque from the starter-generator when driving is most energy-intensive, such as starts or accelerations.
It also helps charge the 48 V traction battery.

The traction battery of your Bigster hybrid system is guaranteed for 8 years or 100,000 miles.
Yes. Depending on use, the driving range of a hybrid vehicle is greater than that of a combustion-powered or electric car, since you can alternate between multiple energy sources.
With the TCe 140 engine, the Bigster range is over 485 miles, and over 560 miles with the Hybrid 155.
It is a mild hybrid system that supports the combustion engine during start-up and acceleration phases. It does not allow for 100% electric driving.
It therefore offers more flexible and dynamic driving while providing fuel savings compared with an equivalent non-electrified petrol engine.
It’s so easy! With hybrid vehicle batteries (full or mild hybrid), you don’t need any special connectors. They recharge automatically as you drive when the vehicle brakes or decelerates.
